background
I had the opportunity to design an exhibition about counseling psychology and clinical psychology at CU Open House 2023, which was an academic event of Chulalongkorn University.
Due to the limitations of the venue being an old building, it was a challenge to design an attractive exhibition to get people interested. At the same time, the exhibition had to be informative to provide the greatest benefit to the audience.

research
I started by surveying what should be in the exhibition. I asked students in the faculty about the perspectives that outsiders still misunderstood about the Faculty of Psychology and asked high school students, who were the target of this event, what information they would like to know and what types of activities would be interesting for the target group.
From survey data, I divided the exhibition into four sections. It had both activities to attract people to the exhibition and information about studying psychology and careers in psychology.

As I divides the exhibition into 4 parts
The first part involved activities that made visitors aware of their emotions during that session. By using the theory of the emotional wheel and giving examples of basic emotions, those emotions were turned into posters to print and decorate for aesthetics. The activity that visitors were able to do was paint heart-shaped paper in different colors to realize and express their emotions through art.

The second part consisted of information about studying psychology and working in the psychology profession. Because there was a lot of information, I divided that information into topics and made posters separated into sections to look like those in the gallery. Visitors, therefore, felt that there was not too much information. Those posters also enhanced the overall aesthetics of the exhibition.

The third part was a letter-writing activity to reflect their goals. It was arranged as a table in the middle of the exhibition so that visitors could sit in a place that was not too crowded, allowing them to feel at ease and reflect on themselves.

There are both information and activity in the last part. The information part is about the importance of mental health, psychological workers, and support system. The activity is for visitors to bring the heart-shaped paper they received from the first activity, come post it on the board at the end of the exhibition, and leave positive words to share with each other. This increased the sense of positive emotions of audiences at the end and reduced waste as well.

decorating
In terms of decoration, previously, the room was quite old and had a lot of light from outside. I decorated it by closing off various skylights and installing different colored light sources at the appropriate level for the activities in the exhibition. The room was decorated to have a comfortable atmosphere so that visitors could feel comfortable doing various activities and feel private.
In addition, during every activity in the exhibition, there was a tablet with an interactive website for the exhibition that I had created. This website guided visitors through a step-by-step process so that they felt private and comfortable writing their own stories.
For the comfort of the visitors, I limited the number of visitors in the exhibition and created a queue system website to facilitate visitors.
